Kylian Mbappé, our mark of mercurial brilliance, made a stellar appearance at his maiden training session for France during this international break, sporting a pristine white prototype of Nike's up-and-coming Mercurial Superfly generation. This break has been quite the spectacle for boot enthusiasts, with Italy's own Giacomo Raspadori and England's Jude Bellingham teasing the fresh colourway for the anticipated adidas Predator 24.

Well, the spotlight is now on Mbappé who, in the good company of Marcus Thuram, has shown up to Clairefontaine for his national duties lacing up the prototype of Nike's upcoming Mercurial. This isn't the first instance of the boot on the field, with Robert Lewandowski having previously run circles in it during a Barça practice session. Yet, catching sight of the shoe's star athlete "Mbappé" pushing its limits implies us inching closer to the official unveiling.

It has been close to two years since we bid hello to the Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XV and Superfly IX in June 2022. Considering the Mercurial's release history, we can sense a trend and predict an upgrade knocking at the door. The all-white prototype cleverly conceals tech-specific updates, however, it doesn't shroud the apparent reconfiguration of the upper and sole structure.

This unfamiliar model boasts an enhanced texture and a distinct soleplate-stud configuration, a departure from the characteristic Vapor XV and Superfly IX, thereby embodying a ribbed pattern on the forefoot. We're keeping our eyes peeled and ears open for more news on this trending sensation.
