Okay, so Uruguay's 2024 kits, yeah? Let's talk about it.
On the one hand, I'm feeling that sky blue, you know? Classic, clean, like a palate cleanser for the eyes after some of those... intense kits out there. It's giving very much "I understand the assignment, I'm here to play football, not walk down a runway." Respect.
But then, on the other hand... it's giving very much "I found this in the back of the Nike warehouse." Like, come on now, Uruguay is a whole vibe! Where's the personality? The flair? The spice? This is the national team, not a Tesco Value pack of t-shirts.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a total disaster. The white away kit is actually kind of fire, those little pops of blue are cute. But overall? It's a bit... meh. Like a lukewarm cuppa when you were really craving something strong and brewed with intention.
Yes, it's the classic colors, and it isn't ugly, but we've seen Uruguay drop some kits with more personality, just look at the in-house designed one they dropped last year. Uruguay deserved better, I'm just saying.
