Back for another hit, Nike has dished out a fresh batch of the Air Zoom Mercurial x Air Max Plus, this time around in a dynamic "Black/Pimento" colourway, following up on the drop in January. Always game-changers, Nike began the year with a bang, causing waves with their special edition Air Max Plus Tn-inspired current Air Zoom Mercurial, which first came out in an eye-catching “Volt Purple/Total Orange” hue, appearing on both the Vapor XV and the Superfly IX.
Staying true to their form, they're now serving up a mouth-watering remix of the Air Max Plus with a “Black/Pimento” transformation lending a new layer of cool to the Air Zoom Mercurial. Jamming in the same groove as the first offering, this updated Mercurial x Air Max Plus is slated to spotlight “pimento” as the core colour, drawing inspiration from the accents used in the debut. Not deviating far from their roots, the palm tree-inspired TPU cage holds down the fort on the Mercurial in a glossy black finish, while the conventional whale tail-shaped shank gets substituted by the Air Zoom Mercurial’s regular soleplate to ensure pitch readiness.
The clever switch from “Tn” to “Zm” is a clear wink to the Air Zoom tech embedded within, packs a punch with the pair's chic athleticism. The Nike Air Zoom Mercurial x Air Max "Black/Pimento" joins the retail world on March 14th. Make sure you mark your calendars, and sign up to our Newsletter to stay in the loop!
