Millwall's dropped their new kit, and dude, they're taking us back... to the 90s! They're calling it "Retro Fusion," but you know, I see what they did there, bro. Full-on throwback vibes. Errea hooked them up, and it's all very...blue. Like, obviously, it's Millwall, but still. Blue.
Hold up, though, there's a plot twist: No sponsor yet! Can you believe this audacity? They're keeping us on the edge of our seats, waiting to see whose logo is gonna grace those white stripes. July 3rd, people! Mark your calendars.
Right, so, back to the design. It's giving very much '91-'93, if you know, you know. Those thick white lines at the bottom? A statement, darling. Collar, cuffs, all pristine white. It's simple, clean, but... is it a bit too safe? Like, where's the spice, the drama?
Don't get me wrong, nostalgia is powerful. Seeing this kit will have some fans reminiscing about the good old days. And yeah, it's a look. You can rock it on matchday, down the pub, maybe even to Tesco, why not? But part of me wishes they'd pushed the boat out a bit more, you know? This feels a bit like they went to the vintage shop but forgot to add their own personal flair.
Ultimately, the jury's still out on this one. I actually really dig it, the clean look really adds to the retro vibe they're going for, maybe that sponsor will come in with the energy and elevate the whole thing.
