We're here to sauce up your dull Wednesday with news of a playful, yet practical alliance. Who else but Kappa has once again joined forces with Analog Football to create yet another unique shirt to celebrate and support the beating heart of football - the amateur and grassroots scene. This time, it's the French Régional 1 side, US Rungis, who are basking in the limelight, their ties with the iconic Italian brand woven into pole position with the aid of Analog's lens.
Kappa, in case you weren't yet aware, practically jogs the catwalk of the shirt design world these days, yet they aren't just playing favourites with the football elite. Forget the glamorous and glitzy world of top-tier football for a minute. Drop your gaze down to the scenic and lively grassroots plains where teams like Victoria Park Vixens, Hammersmith FC, and Abalos FC all sashay around in Kappa's strong, profound, and passionately created shirts.
Based in the south side of Paris, US Rungis is a team that captures the vibrant, energetic spirit of the city's suburbs. The team hails from Rungis, a town celebrated for hosting the Marché International de Rungis, basically the world's largest grocery cart spilling over with a feast of some of the juiciest, freshest fruits and veg you can imagine. This fresh vibe now bedecks two outstanding special edition shirts, that come embroidered with charmingly sublimated graphics of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. And binding the whole ensemble together, no Kappa attire could ever be complete without the signature of the iconic Omini logo, a beacon of identity now straddling down the sleeves in the classic banda formation.
You can lay your hands on this delectable kit in two servings: white and gold for the players and navy and gold for the gatekeeper of the goalposts.
Utilizing their signature and genuine photographic lexicon, Analog Football has enlisted the creative services of luminaries such as Sabi Singh, Bastien Eveno, and Yvana Bolinois, resulting in a one-of-a-kind photo and video campaign capturing their essence, both digital and analog (35mm and medium format).
The campaign prominently features players, volunteers, and merchants sporting the shirts amidst the buzz of the marketplace. Intriguingly, many of the models captured in the shoot are none other than the premier team players from the US Rungis club who toil during the nocturnal hours at the market. The remarkable photo collection is a testament to the skillful lens of Sabi Singh & Bastien Eveno.
