Amidst their theatrical club tour in Athens, the Grassroots ensemble Victoria Park Vixens showcased their novel home jersey from Kappa—a design house renowned for its incomparable bespoke kits. Established only four years ago, Victoria Park Vixens have already carved out their spot on the field, with their men's and women's teams relishing unprecedented victories.
A rebranding move adds a new chapter to their success story, decked with a lucrative kit contract with Kappa, making them stand shoulder-to-shoulder with seasoned clubs such as Venezia and Athens Kallithea. As Kappa is known for, this partnership hands the Vixens a refined new appearance as they make strides into their fifth year.
The kit portrays the club’s customary claret and magenta colours in a unique tonal vertical stripe design, accentuated by muted green pinstripes—an homage to the park that inspired the team's name. The freshly minted club crest, which features an alluring fox—the core of the recent rebranding effort—meets the eye beneath the Kappa Omini logo. This uncomplicated but gratifying symmetry makes for a striking visual. Not to forget, the crest and logo are both gilded, celebrating the various titles the club have clinched in both the men’s and women’s leagues over the past five years.
“We are so honoured to be working with Kappa on our latest kit and brand refresh as they’re such an iconic brand in football so we feel very lucky to be a part of the Kappa family,” explains club founder Morgan Brennan. “It’s a very exciting time for the club as we are expanding our teams, looking to host more events and work on more collaborations in 2024.”
Now fielding in both women's and men's divisions six days a week, the team celebrated their expansion with the reveal of their new kits on an athletic excursion in Athens, alongside a diverse crew of international players. In a string of friendlies, the Vixens strutted their fresh home shirts upon the Grecian pitches in November; a valued partnership with Athens Kallithea, their kindred crew from the southeast enabling this spectacle.
As the weeks roll on, the team is excited to make waves in their league debuts, both in home and away regalia. Eyebrows are already raised in anticipation as the club hints at the imminent release of the away shirt, its allure said to overshadow even the home shirt's aesthetic...that's a tease that's caught our attention.
