England 150 Year Anniversary Limited Edition Warm-Up Shirts to be Worn Against Scotland

In honor of the upcoming 150th anniversary heritage match between England and Scotland at Hampden Park, the Three Lions will be donning some special warm-up shirts.

These commemorative jerseys pay tribute to the historic meeting between the two teams, which took place on 30 November 1872 and marked the very first international football match.

To celebrate this momentous occasion and one of the sport's oldest rivalries, the England and Scotland teams will be facing off in Glasgow. But before the action kicks off, the England players will be warming up in a truly unique shirt - a modern replica of the kit worn during that inaugural match.

Picture a classic, all-white jersey with the original Three Lions crest proudly displayed. And just beneath that badge, you'll find the digits '1872' lovingly stitched in navy blue. Harry Kane, England men's captain, proudly unveiled the replica jersey. Joining him was Scotland counterpart, Andy Robertson, who looked sharp in Scotland's Adidas 150-year anniversary football kit. The pre-match shirt boasts a clean and understated white look, adorned with the original crest from the inaugural meeting between Scotland and England. On closer inspection, you'll notice that the Nike Vaporknit III teamwear shirt serves as the basis for this commemorative piece, sans the iconic Swoosh. This ensures that the shirt is equipped with the latest advancements in Nike's soccer jersey technology.

But wait, there's more! These special shirts won't be up for sale to the general public. Instead, a limited number will be put up for auction, with all proceeds going towards the FA's official charity partner, Alzheimer's Society. Not only will you be able to own a piece of football history, but you'll also be making a positive impact on a worthy cause. The auction is already live and will run until 8pm on 30 September, so don't miss your chance to get involved.

So, get ready to celebrate the rich history of international football and one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. Keep an eye out for those unique warm-up shirts, and remember to place your bids before the auction closes. It's football with a purpose, and we couldn't be more excited to see how much money can be raised for such a fantastic cause.
