Embracing the Orange Love Affair: Inter Milan's Striking 23/24 Third Kit Unveiled

Inter Milan has once again embraced their love for the color orange with the release of their stunning new third kit for the 23/24 season. Created by Nike, this vibrant jersey will make its debut on Wednesday when the team takes on Real Sociedad in the Champions League.

The unveiling of the 2023/24 Nike third kit took place during a community football tournament held as part of Milano Fashion Week. Where Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram also rocked a pair of Nike Air Max Plus OG in Red/Black/White Colorway.

The design draws inspiration from Inter Milan's iconic third kit from the 2000/01 season, which featured a bold orange color. To add a touch of elegance, light and dark grey accents have been incorporated on the collar, side panels, and cuffs. The club's crest is presented in a sleek black monochrome style, complemented by the Nike Swoosh on the right breast.

It's worth noting that this is the 14th orange kit worn by Inter Milan throughout their history. The color made its debut in the 1937/38 season as the base for their away strip. Since then, orange has been a popular choice for the club's alternate kits, particularly in the 1950s when it was frequently used as a second or even fourth option. The new third kit pays tribute to this tradition, specifically referencing the orange jerseys worn during the 2000/01 and 2001/02 seasons.

In line with Nike's commitment to sustainability, the third kit has been developed using innovative techniques that reduce waste and environmental impact. More than 75 percent of the fabric is made from 100 percent recycled polyester, resulting in a 30 percent decrease in CO2 emissions compared to virgin polyester. By choosing this eco-friendly approach, Inter Milan and Nike are helping to divert approximately one billion plastic bottles from landfills and waterways each year.
